Our History
A Sketch by Tom Wellman of the Sculpture called 'The Profit'
Sketch by Tom Wellman
The UU Fellowship of Dallas (also called Oak Cliff UU Fellowship) was the very first Unitarian Universalist society, coming into existence on the very day of the merger between the American Unitarian Association and the Universalist Church of America in 1961. In April of 2003 we changed our name to Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff.

We've been at our present location since moving there in the mid - 1960s. We're located in a beautifully wooded area that has slowly grown into a "campus" of buildings; We rent or otherwise make our facilities available to the ethnically diverse community that today surrounds us.

Our Church has been served by three Extension Ministers: the Revs. Bill Holway, Bob Hill and Frank Carpenter and three Called Ministers: the Revs. Suzanne Meyer, Don Fielding and currently Mark Walz.

We maintain a membership of approximately 70 and serve the surrounding area through a variety of means.

"In discipline of Truth, irrespective of its source, and in the spirit of Universal Brotherhood, undivided by nation, race or creed, we unite in fellowship to pursue and to practice individually and collectively, the principles of the liberal religious faith."
