Adult Religious Educational Programs

Our Adult Religious Education Activities include programs after our Sunday Services and on Wednesday evenings before our Vespers Services.

R.E. Programs vary, but have included:


• Post Service Discussion Group
• Credo Group
• Meditation Group
• Sacred Text Exploration Group
• Page Turners - Reading Group
• Spanish for Gringos classes

• UUCOC Newcomers' Class is an informal group that gathers in the kitchen of Hope, usually around soup and bread. Geoff Pool facilitates. No need to sign up - just come!


• Spanish for Gringos Classes on Sunday mornings from 11:15am to noon, in Hope, followed by a chance to converse (in Spanish, of course!) over food in the Faith lobby. The Class also meets Wednesday evenings from 7-7:50pm (before Vespers), offering a chance for those who can't make it Sunday to participate or for others to get in more practice. Participants are asked to purchase their own book: Spanish for Gringos (Vol. 1), by William C. Harvey (part of the Barron's Educational Series, Inc.) It is available at Half Price Books and online.


• The Page Turners Group meets the last Sunday of each month in Hope's Small Group Meeting Room (formerly the Teacher Workroom).


• Bring your own Theology is a Credo Group currently meeting, but is closed to additional attendees for this session.
