In Memory of Rev. Suzanne Meyer

Posted By Melissa Bartell on January 29, 2010

We have learned of Rev. Meyer’s last wishes:

“Suzanne asked that her friends send donations to the Cheyenne church, her final tour of duty, because the fellowship supported her tirelessly with food, rides, companionship, animal care, hand-holding, and love during her final months. Though she had served them relatively briefly, this church stepped up with open arms and helping hands to do whatever was needed to make Suzanne’s life easier. If you can send even a small amount in Suzanne’s name, it would be greatly appreciated.”

We will be taking up a special collection this Sunday (Jan. 31) and the next (Feb. 7) to forward to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Rev. Meyer was UUCOC’s first called minister (1986-88). Many of our long-term members remember her well. She died January 23, 2010 after a brief hospice stay.
