One hundred sixty-eight years ago, abolitionist Frederick Douglass was invited to address the Rochester Ladies' Anti-Slavery Society in New York. Although much has changed for Black Americans over the intervening decades, recent events have made it abundantly clear that much of what he had to say is still tragically relevant now.
